We are an established dive charter and training centre in the Bay of Islands, locally owned and operated by Dave and Sue and the rest of the team. We pride ourselves on our safe professional and enjoyable service. We are here for you, we dive for you.

Dave Wadsworth

Skipper / Instructor / Director

Dave is the POM who should have been a kiwi from birth! Having always been asked if he was from "a land down under" he is completely at home in the Bay of Islands. His passion for diving is a little more serene than his past hobbies of driving "Radical" racing cars or touring Europe on his Kawasaki ZX12r!

Dave has years of experience both diving and instructing and some 2,500 dives under his belt. A Master Scuba Dive Instructor with 13 Specialties, Inshore Launch Master (ILM) skipper, Master of Small Commercial Dive Boat (MSCDB) trainer, First Aid and O2 Provider instructor and Regulator Service Technician.

A true professional oh and he’s a Tourism Certified Skipper!

Sue Wadsworth

Marketing Manager / Director

Sue is the Kiwi who sounds like a POM having lived in England for more years than she cares to remember - but being born in New Zealand she appreciates everything that is special about our wonderful country. Like all Kiwis she loves the outdoors and the Bay of Islands is the perfect place to make the most of the lifestyle we are so fortunate to live in.

Sue hasn’t developed her mermaid fins yet but she has mastered the Lemon Cake which she regularly offers to divers on board Lady Rose. Sue’s experience in marketing and administration ensure the smooth running of the dive trips and courses.

The Lady Rose

Our 7.5 metre Maitland Power Cat, Lady Rose, is a fully equipped dive boat offering space and stability and surveyed for 8 divers. Onboard you’ll also find a flushing toilet, full weather covers, seats, dry stowage areas, built in stove for piping hot drinks after your dives and even complimentary cookies!

Naturally Lady Rose is fully compliant to MSA survey standards and equipped with First Aid Kit and Oxygen. All our diving equipment is of high quality, fully maintained and serviced for your safety and enjoyment. All our equipment includes dive computers for added peace of mind.

Lukasz

Dive Master

Lukasz is not a Kiwi, but a Pole who loves the life down under. With his never ending enthusiasm he will help you with the gear, lead you on a dive and make sure your day with us has been well documented on a camera.

His hobbies include not only diving, but also other outdoor activities, travelling, cinema and lately... Sue's lemoncake. And when that is gone it might be your lunch so watch out!

Our SPCA rescue puppy was a welcome addition to the team – however all thoughts of him joining the odd dive trip soon went out the window when he grew to be 35kg at 18 months old!

So now you’ll either see him waiting at the shop for you to return or keeping an eye out for you when he’s near the sea!

Our Dive Shop

Our new 160m2 purpose built dive centre offers even more for the diver. The large shop stocks great brands of diving equipment and accessories, there is a fully equipped regulator and tank testing room, plus a dedicated training room for PADI training courses, hire gear area, dive fills and a convenient toilet and changing room!
